The EK43T is a commercial precision grinder that was originally built for grinding spices, but found itself being a key component in the speciality coffee industry after it showed how high a quality grind it was capable of; arguably better than any other grinder in the industry. The Mahlkonig EK43T Coffee Grinder is a version of EK43 grinder with special Turkish burrs installed. These special 98mm burrs, made from cast steel, allow you to go considerably finer than the standard coffee burrs.

If you are looking for a grinder for precision filter on pro equipment, you need the Coffee Burr(EK43) version, but if you are looking for a grinder to work with espresso coffee methods, this is the correct version for you.
It is amazingly well built, produced from cast steel and weighs in at 24KG. It has very few actual controls, making it very easy to use and clean. The front facing dial is easy to use and simple but very effective but most importantly provides an amazing grind quality and distribution with little or no waste. If you’re looking for a precision espresso and / or brew methods, this is officially as good as it gets.
