P-Series P12 III -15.6” touch screen -recipe management with any number of user-definable recipes – all stored settings can be safely and automatically reproduced -addition of events either during or after the roasting process -safe transfer of recipes to other roasters while maintaining reproducibility -control of several roasters via one surface -connection of the control to any mobile device, regardless of the operating system (recommended display size > 9.7”) -highly consistent roast and uniform bean pattern -optimum mixing through a special shovel mechanism -simultaneous roasting and cooling -particularly high degree of separation thanks to separate cyclone -individual customization options
Sensor package “Temperatures”- -Supply air temperature (> thermocouple installed in the rear wall of the roaster) - E n v i r o n m e n t a l t e m p e r a t u r e ( & g t ; thermocouple installed in the upper left quarter of the drum = inside the drum, but not in the bean pile) -Cooling air temperature (> thermocouple installed in the cooling air ducts)
The P series represents a whole new generation of shop roasters. All models are equipped with a number of advanced technical features, such as the innovative software with extended functionality. Multiple additional design options make the P series unique for every roastery. Altogether there are three different models available, with batch sizes between one and 30 kilograms and a roasting capacity of 17 to 85 kilograms of roast coffee per hour.
The new electrically operated P05 e has the same advanced features as the gas-heated version of the smallest shop roaster in the new P Series generation. Roasting times and flexibility are directly comparable, so that roasting results of the P05 can be safely transferred to the new P05 e while maintaining the same high quality and reproducibility.
The PROBATINO is specially developed for smaller businesses. With its recommended batch size of one kilogram, it is perfect for producing, testing and perfecting small quantities of roasted coffee.

The Probat P12 Coffee Roaster also includes an optional VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) package for enhanced control over the roasting process. This package provides greater flexibility by allowing real-time adjustments to drum speed and airflow, helping roasters fine-tune their roast profiles with precision.
VFD Package Features on the Probat P12:
Variable Drum Speed (VFD Drum)
Allows for dynamic control of drum rotation speed during roasting. Optimizes bean movement and heat transfer based on batch size and roast style. Enhances consistency by reducing uneven roasting and scorching risks.
Variable Airflow (VFD Roasting Air Fan)
Enables precise control of exhaust airflow throughout the roast. Adjusts heat transfer by regulating air movement, crucial for different roast profiles. Improves roasting efficiency and flavor development by controlling caramelization and drying phases.
The Probat P12 Coffee Roaster offers an advanced Sensor Package for Temperature Monitoring, which includes multiple thermocouples to ensure precise control over the roasting and cooling process. These sensors provide real-time data, allowing roasters to make accurate adjustments and maintain consistency.
Sensor Package – Temperature Monitoring on the Probat P12
Supply Air Temperature (Preheated Air)
Sensor Location: Thermocouple installed in the rear wall of the roaster.
Function: Measures the temperature of incoming hot air before it reaches the beans.
Benefit: Ensures consistent heat application, helping to maintain stability across different roast profiles.
Environmental Temperature (Drum Air Temperature)
Sensor Location: Thermocouple installed in the upper left quarter of the drum (inside the drum but not in the bean pile).
Function: Measures the ambient temperature inside the drum, separate from the bean mass.
Benefit: Helps in understanding heat dynamics inside the drum and optimizing airflow adjustments for even roasting.
Cooling Air Temperature
Sensor Location: Thermocouple installed in the cooling air ducts.
Function: Monitors the temperature of the air used for cooling roasted beans.
Benefit: Ensures efficient and rapid cooling, preventing overdevelopment and preserving bean quality.
